Hello!
We are still hoping to open on Saturday 4 July (subject to government guidelines).
As discussed in our previous emails we are still awaiting the final strict bullet points we have to work to before we can open the phone lines or online booking system. We had to suspend all booking facilities due to us implementing new shifts (which adhere to social distance guidelines) which will run from July to September.
We know this is frustrating but please bear with us as we are nearly there. Come on Boris we need the green light!!!
OUR PLANS TO REOPEN REVISITED
When we open we can only have six stylists including a beautician working at any one time. Our staff will be working seven days a week to accommodate the two-meter social distancing measures and to enable us to see as many as you as we can each day the salon is open.
NEW OPENING TIMES
Monday -Friday 9 am – 9 pm
Saturday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm
Sunday 9 am – 4 pm
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT
We plan to open up the phone lines and our online booking system a week before opening to fit you into our new way of working. As mentioned above this is all dependent on the government confirming the guidelines and giving all salons the green light for 4 July.
As much as we would like to contact you one by one and make an appointment we feel the fairest way, as you are all important to us, is to invite you to contact us when the booking systems reopen. It is proving extremely complex.
We have started contacting clients who had appointments booked for July and August as we need to adjust some appointment times and dates. This work is ongoing.
We hope you understand our dilemma with regards to appointments and ask for your continued patience.
At the very bottom of this email, you can view the working hours for each stylist (up to September).
Staffing levels are now dictated by social distancing and our new one-way entry and exit system. This is why all our shifts are having to be adjusted to respect the number of team members able to work and clients we can accommodate at any one time. If the government decide to reduce the social distance from 2m to 1.5m we can fit another staff member in which would open up more appointments. We understand this is being considered which means if we were to make appointments now based on current rules they could all change again which is why we have to wait until the week before we open. We only want to make appointments when we know we can commit to them and not let you down.
As we have not seen you for a while we will be taking longer for each appointment to ensure we have enough time to discuss what you have done during lockdown with your hair and to make your hair look and feel wonderful. We want you to feel pampered and to enjoy your first appointment back despite the rather strange new normal! We know how excited some of our clients are to return!
CHILD APPOINTMENTS
For any children who need a hair cut, they must be of an age where they can attend an appointment on their own. Please note we are no longer offering dry cuts so we will have to wash their hair and they will need to wear a face covering throughout the appointment. Please note this means there will be a slight price increase.
COLOUR CLIENTS
If you have coloured your hair at home in-between your last salon visit, you will need a skin test and a strand test before your next appointment. We have to make sure your hair will not react and that colour won’t cause condition damage to the hair & scalp. Please note a skin test can only be done by appointment.
We also please ask that all hair be freshly washed and dried for your appointment.
Most clients will be needing a different colour from their last visit as there will be extra colour and possible techniques to consider so there may be alterations to your billing. Your stylist will discuss this with you during your appointment.
Please note a skin test can only be done by appointment so please mention this when it comes to rebooking.
HAIR DISASTERS
Please don’t be shy about this as we are here to help and of course we want to fix any home colouring concerns that happened during the strict lockdown. Our solution is to offer a virtual consultation through WhatsApp or Facetime, where possible, to enable us to look at what is needed for your appointment and get things prepared. We are keen to save time to accommodate more appointments for our clients. Please ring us about this when our booking system is open again.
BEAUTY
Jacquie will be able to carry out the following services (unless the government change things between now when we open)
Nails * Wax * Eyebrows * Toes
We are sorry to say that she will not be able to do threading, eyelash extensions or lash lifts until the rules change.
NHS DAY
You may have seen in the press or via social media we are planning to offer a day’s worth of our time to offer appointments to treat some NHS heroes after lockdown. There will be more details about this in the future.
The middle salon is looking lovely ready for your return. All the alternations and repairs are on schedule. We are all really pleased and hope some of you have seen the pictures we have shared along the way. It has only been made possible by a lot of help from my two sons and a dedicated husband (lucky me).
Thank you for taking the time to read this email. We are so looking forward to seeing you all. We will endeavour to do our best to fit you all in within the new legal boundaries we have to adhere too.
Finally, thank you for your continued support to the staff and salon.
