March Newsletter

Hooray we have lighter nights and hopefully better weather.

Welcoming existing and new clients to the salon.

TEAM NEWS

Training: Chelsea Jade is enjoying her Colour Master’s Course the Wella Academy in Manchester. She is now stage two and progressing really well. She is also keeping our team up to date with new techniques and technology. An added bonus is that she is also on our training team teaching our up and coming trainees.

Some of our staff have been on training recently as we are introducing a new service to the salon – hair tapes. This product is designed to increase length or diameter to the hair which increases fullness. From 17 March please see our stylists to learn more.

Danna is progressing well with her training. She has achieved her NVQ with flying colours and now has a column availability. You can see her work on our Instagram and Facebook page. She is one of our bridal and event specialists too and offers some beautiful unique hair styles.

Nik has been inspired by L’oreal Professional working towards improving the client experience, training the team and learning more about what we can do to help and improve our environment in relation to climate change.

STEPS TO REDUCE OUR IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

Doing our bit

As a company we would like to share with you the things we do to help the environment.

We use Easy Dry towels which are !00% degradable towels saving on washing, drying and powder liquids. They also save our time!

We have installed Eco heads taps which reduce water flow by 50%.

We are installing more plants in the salon. Our plants dissolve toxins in the air and promote a calmer working for the staff. These plants are cared for by Debbie.

Jacquie has introduced the New Bisou Pro Gel nail range. It is both vegan and cruelty free with the added bonus of exciting new colours and longer lasting durability.

We offer a refill for our System Professional shampoo and conditioners (Colour, repair and hydrate ranges) which helps with our aim to reduce plastic waste.

Redken have brought out 95% biodegradable colour and moisture range.

Our light bulbs are gradually being changed to LED bulbs.

LOYALTY CARD & DETAILS

Our new and updated loyalty scheme for hair and beauty has had a very positive start. Speak to our receptionist or style team if you don’t have a card or would like to learn more.

If you move or get a new mobile or email address please let us know so we can keep your client file up to date.

OTHER NEWS

Goodbyes: With a heavy heart we have sadly said goodbye to Tash our part-time receptionist. We are all going to miss her dearly but her family need her for now and hope she will return in the future.

And, finally for this month’s newsletter, after selling the business two years ago Dan has now retired from the salon to concentrate on a new chapter of his life. He has started an Air BNB holiday let and is helping a friend out with their salon here and there to finish his working days.

I am very lucky to have worked with this prestigious brand for 30 years with Daniel and have enjoyed helping to build the business and enhance it throughout this time.

Exciting times ahead and I, along with our fantastic team, will continue to develop the DG hair and beauty team.
