Just a quick hi to you as we wait to hear news on when we can return and welcome you back.
Officially we are, as yet, no nearer to knowing the date when we can re-open the salon. There are of course plenty of rumours and hearsay but we are led by the official guidelines. We hope to learn more later this month.
As with the last lockdowns, as soon as we know our salon opening date, we will contact all clients who had an appointment with us that was missed and reschedule it.
Once we have done that we then plan to open the phone lines. We will once again open longer days to accommodate everyone.
Our online booking system will remain closed as we feel there is no point taking appointments at this stage without an opening date or knowledge of the social distancing / latest safety measures required for when we open.
TEAM TRAINING
Sara and Nik are working on reception standards while Rebecca, Alex and Danna work on social media. The staff are busy doing online learning in lots of areas including technical training, customer service and the future.
Taylor & Olivia, our assistants, are working hard continuing with their NVQ qualification plus projects with Nik for our social media which are lovely to see. Looking forward to later this year when we can start practising wedding styles and updos.

We have recently started sharing team pictures to introduce who we are via social media to people who may not know our team. You can see them on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. More to come over the next few weeks.
COVID HEALTH & SAFETY
We are pleased to report that all our staff have managed to remain covid free which is great news!
We know we have said it before but please try to avoid colouring your hair at home. It is especially tricky for blonde hair where the results can be orange or yellow rather than blonde. Long-term it can end up costing more in potential damage to your hair and a longer hair appointment being needed to rectify any issues.
We are still asking clients to have a skin test for beauty or colour before their next appointment. This is due to the fact there have been reports of people having reactions after having covid (with or without symptoms).
We are pleased to say that in our salon we have not had any but we want to keep clients safe from any risk of a reaction.
Please note if a skin test has not been done prior to your appointment it may be cancelled.
Appointments for this will be available once the salon is open.
Please get in touch when we are open to book in – it doesn’t take long.
THE SALON
We were really pleased to be able to offer the use of our salon to help the NHS.
The NHS Midwifery nurses carried out their planned training course at the salon at the end of January.
Ten midwives carried out a two-day training session on Hypnobirthing and alternative therapies which will help birthing women who suffer from anxiety.
It went very well and they were forever grateful that we could offer our space. We would like to say an extra special thanks to the Police and SLDC for authorising this to go ahead.
SALON
We would like to thank every single one of our clients for supporting us during this difficult year again. It really means everything to us.
